THE NUMBER ONE REGRET: The WEDDING did not reflect the COUPLE!
Did you know that the number one regret of many couples is that their wedding did not reflect them? That there were influenced by their family, friends, society, and more to do the "popular thing" or to utilize certain details over others. This opinion was found in everything from choosing vendors to the dress to the decorations!
So, I bet you are now wondering how do you add you into your wedding??? It’s so simple, make a list with your fiancé of what you find important to you, to your relationship, to your wedding.
Here are some ideas:
-Do you like to go hiking be outside, nature? Then outdoor venue, possibly rustic, woodsy...
-Are you constantly in the city, marveling downtown, and the skyscrapers? Wedding in a skyscraper or location with downtown in the background, or venue featuring some of the most modern architecture.
2. Theme of your wedding- Color, Activity, Items, Etc.
Many weddings feature specific color palettes, but you can base your wedding off of activities such as movie watching, gaming, and more. Just recently a wedding was featured for being completely themed off of beauty and the beast; while one of my most recent brides told me her wedding was "country."
3. Details, Decorations, and The Look-
Don't let anyone push you around for how you want your wedding decorated, for this is truly provides the statement of the day. Whether it is candles around everywhere, or you add lace details with flowers all over, or pieces of yours & his childhood around the tables. It is the statement you would like!
Some of the amazing details I have seen:
-Every flower was paper ranging from colors to patterns for every decoration
-No flowers, but candles and silver pieces all over
-Small pictures of loved ones as a part of the flower decorations
-Pine cones and rustic wood as details
-Beloved Items of the Couple (Pictures, Keepsakes, etc.) as center pieces
-Old Nintendo Gear as the center pieces
-Colored ribbon to lace the corset dress
Have a great time planning your wedding about you and your fiance!
